Rumsfeld planning big 4th anniversary 9/11 celebration

You can't make this stuff up.

Question: What do 9/11 and Iraq have in common?

Answer: Quite a bit, apparently. Let's connect 9/11 and Iraq together, celebrate our stunning successes, and disrespect the Dead and their families, all in one, swift stroke.

Nice going, guys.

Rumsfeld announced a wonderful gala celebrating the 4th anniversary of 9/11. Music and fun for one and all.

We all know how happy chimpCo is, how they bask in the glow of Iraq success, how they managed to decieve the entire world, and how eager they are to do the same thing in Iran.

We know all that. And that's a great reason for them to celebrate their successes.

We know. We know. But they really should put a damper on their enthusiasm. Out of respect for the Dead, and for people like Cindy Sheehan. Parents who have lost their kids probably don't feel much like celebrating.

Holy shit. Can they be anymore disconnected from reality? Stabalizing the Middle East means removing Saddam from power? Seems to me it's even more unstable now, but maybe if they keep repeating that lie long enough, America will fall under the hypnotic spell again.

Not only that, but a concert and celebration on the anniversary of 9/11? Can't get much more crass and unsympathetic than that. Figures that it's country music stars that are involved. Bible thumping, flag-waving hypocrites.

And the administration yet again politicizes 9/11.

Hopefully such a disgusting display will further tank their popularity. Not that they care, because in 2008, Bush will be installed as dictator.

hmmm

Didn't bush say in 2000 that a dictatorship would be great, providing he was dictator?

Yes, he most certainly did. I think the quote was:

"Things would be so much easier if this was a dictatorship, as long as I'm the dictator."

Maybe I'm crazy, but I really think this is going to happen in 2008...democracy is out, dictatorship is in.

Things that we used to consider preposterous are now commonplace.

2/3 of the Houses and 3/4 of the states need to agree to abolish the 22nd amendment.

Guess what? These guys have shown their skill at manipulating votes.

Girl, you're right. I feel something dreadful is about to happen.
