Ohio Gov. pleads No Contest.

Taft says he "accepts responsibility". Then he pleads "no contest". Shouldn't accepting responsibility include admitting guilt?

More here.

Taft is HATED here. HATED. the only way blackwell can survive his associate with him is to do what he's doing: mobilize the religious right aka the "patriot pastors." They had a profile in the columbus dispatch of the most influential of them: the most telling quote "I don't hate homosexuals. I love them like all of our brothers and sisters. But I want to save them from their unhappy and unhealthy lifestyles." Gee, maybe you should start with the unhealthy and unhappy repressed folks in your own backyard pastor.
Anyway, Taft is an albatross around the neck of the ohio GOP. They're scared and well they should be. If we can get a real senator candidate, we may take back the gov mansion, several congressional seats as well as a senate seat. That's pretty huge heading into 2008.
